Tony Levin on Robert Fripp’s Photo Policy

King Crimson's photo policy is notorious. Before every concert, they post signs on the stage that say:

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen
Welcome to the show
Now that you are in the venue please
refrain from taking any pictures
using a camera or your phone
until the very end of the show
or you may be asked to leave
thank you..."

Yet, Tony Levin (King Crimson's bassist) has taken photos from the stage for 40 years. How — and why — has the photo policy changed over the years?

Here's Tony's response.
